"People of all ages have expressed an appreciation for my sense of humor and a sense of calmness in the counseling setting. This reassurance allows me to be "real" with each person I encounter."
Philosophy of Counseling
I believe life is a voyage. Sometimes there is smooth sailing; sometimes the way is rough; and sometimes we crash on the rocks. I see my role as a counselor as someone who assists others by providing a "guiding light" through the rough times on their voyage. As a Christian, I understand the importance of Christ's involvement throughout that voyage. As a counselor, I understand the importance of creating an environment where clients feel safe and understood.

Patti has received additional training in the treatment of survivors of domestic violence as well as survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Her passion is to see these victims move forward toward becoming survivors by working through the terrible emotional, physical and spiritual pain and ultimately reaching a place of healing. These steps can be very difficult, but worth the journey.
