Philosophy of Counseling
I am trauma-informed and have additional coursework in the development of spirituality and training in grief counseling. I enjoy working with people of all ages as individuals, as well as couples and families.  I practice various modalities depending on the person(s) and their presenting issue(s) including cognitive-behavioral therapy and solution-focused therapy.

Personal Development
I am returning to the field of counseling after more than three decades of raising my family within our church and community. I previously      worked in community mental health and had also worked in an inpatient physical rehabilitation hospital. In 2020, I took a two-year course in Spiritual Direction in Virginia. After living in multiple states, we have settled in northwest Ohio. I continue to nurture my spirituality and enjoy the outdoors with my husband of 35 years. I bring a deep understanding of life transitions, resilience, and family dynamics that enhance my connection with others.

Community Involvement
I have a lifetime of involvement in the communities in which I have lived which has always included my parish at the center of it all. Much of my involvement outside of the church was directed towards the interests and involvement of my three, now adult, children. I provided leadership for many years with a Boy Scout troop and Music Boosters, and volunteered with the Girl Scouts, the schools, and many other organizations to support the community.
