Daniel Higgins, MA, LPCC-S - Bellevue Office

“People of all ages and backgrounds have expressed an appreciation for my sensitive solution oriented approach to counseling. My down to earth nature and humorous approach to life allow me to be “real” with everyone I encounter.”

Philosophy of Counseling

I believe that life is a journey. While we each travel along our own paths, sometimes there are bumps in the road that cause us to need assistance. I view my role as a counselor as someone who can assist in that journey. In particular, I enjoy working with families, couples, and children. Growing up in a large family has helped me to appreciate the challenges and joys that accompany the unique bonds of family life. As the son of Christian parents, I learned early on to value not only the emotional, but also the spiritual side of a person. It’s my hope that my “real life” training can be of assistance to you as we journey together.

Community Involvement

I have thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to become involved in my local community. I am a member of the Bellevue Rotary Club,  The Bellevue Hospital Foundation Board, a leader in BSA Scout Troop 339 and attend church locally. Various presentations on personality preferences, conflict management, parenting skills and personal wellness have enabled me to become more fully engaged with community needs.
