Philosophy of Counseling:
The clinical counseling profession is based on the wellness model. Sometimes, we may be off-balance due to a variety of reasons which is typically identified in the biopsychosocial/spiritual model. When one part of our being is off-balance, we need to establish equilibrium. I desire to assist the person in establishing equilibrium to feel whole and complete. I am honored to be a part of a person’s life through this process and a safe place to do so. Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is also a way to help someone feel whole again, specifically trauma. I am passionate about giving clients the tools to heal and become whole if they so choose to do the work which allows us to become a team.
